Survivor Heroes vs. Villains
"Ladies and gentlemen, survivors of seasons past, welcome to the battle of heroes and villains, where the line between good and evil is about to blur like never before! For those of you watching at home, my name is Jeff Probst, and I'll be your host, narrator, and witness to this unforgettable season. We stand here today on the untamed shores of this captivating island, as some of the most iconic figures in Survivor history have returned to settle old scores, rewrite their stories, and claim the title of Sole Survivor. On one side, we have a tribe of courageous heroes who have shown resilience, integrity, and unwavering determination. On the other side, a tribe of cunning villains who have mastered manipulation, deceit, and strategic dominance. This is Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, where these extraordinary individuals will once again push themselves to the limit, navigating treacherous waters, testing their mental and physical prowess, all while battling against their own perceptions of heroism and villainy. Brace yourselves for a clash of epic proportions, as alliances will be formed, trust will be shattered, and the true nature of these players will be revealed. Who will rise as the ultimate hero or the most notorious villain? It's time to ignite your torches because the game is about to begin!"
[Hello, player. I'm Cath, your real host and narrator. Occasionally, I'll interrupt (like you see me doing now) to provide you with objective and relevant information. This game does require a basic knowledge of how the reality TV series Survivor works. Season 20, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains is an actual season, and those 15 episodes are an amazing resource for your navigation. But from the moment you make your first choice, everything has changed.]
[Here's a little more about you. You have previously played on survivor season 19.5, Survivor: Costa Rica. This season is hypothetically between Samoa and H v V. You made it to the final four, and was then voted out unanimously as you were the biggest jury threat. Perhaps you were an iconic hero, the persevering underdog who fought to stand where you were. Maybe you made bold idol plays, or won immunities. A social strategist, or the ultimate challenge beast. Or perhaps you were a vengeful villain, delighting in each vote. Maybe your cutthroat strategy was viewed negatively by the other players, and your torch getting snuffed was comeuppance. Whatever your backstory, you are a fan favorite that Jeff couldn't resist bringing back for a second time. Because Costa is the previous season, none of the cast has ever seen you or your play style. You are the ultimate wildcard.]
[Game mechanics: challenges will be assessed based on who is left in the game. You'll always have the option to try to throw a challenge, but there is risk with reward. There will be opportunities to search for idols, help out around camp, have strategic discussions, and make social connections. Some decisions will be made by an unknown coin flip (if there aren't more mechanics to figure out on my end), so have one handy.]
[Decision time! Are you a hero or a villain? If you choose to be a hero, you replace the questionably heroic Candace from Survivor: Cook Islands. You'll have a little bit of plot armor and a beach full of bananas... don't forget the proper etiquette. If you choose to be a villain, you'll replace Randy from Survivor: Gabon. You'll have the odds stacked against you, but there are a lot of bigger targets on your tribe.]
