Johnny Troublefinder's First Mistake
Prologue - In this story, you play the part of Johnny Troublefinder. As such, you can trace the roots of your misfortunes back to that fateful day you found the medallion...
You were cutting some dirt paths in the hilly forest behind your parents' new estate in Durham county, England, when you first stumbled across it. Whilst removing various rocks and debris from your would-be bike path, you saw what appeared to be some gold sticking out of the ground. Hurriedly, you tore at the earth to dig up this buried treasure! You had barely just uncovered it (It was almost as big as your hand!) and begun to admire the intricate artistry on the medallion and its woven leather chain-strap, when you noticed a bright yet eerie orangish glow emanating from it!!
...and this is where the story begins. This story will depend greatly upon the visuals provided and the text will seek to describe what is not immediately evident. The only other text will seek to remind you of any items you have on hand. You begin the story in your normal clothes (which allows for a couple of small pockets and the leather belt that helps to hold up your jeans) and a small backpack which can hold several small items. Keep in mind that you're only shod in sneakers, so don't go trying to cross any rivers of lava, got it?
