A Vision of Choices
You awaken in your bed to complete silence. Glancing left and right, the items of your room appear normal, but somehow frozen in place and time, possessing a sickly sheen. The door hums softly, a thin white light creeping under it and snaking across the floor. Slowly, you rise to your feet, taking note as the room seems to every so slightly shift to your new perspective. Somewhere there are the sounds of boots on a hard floor, but the echoes of their heels seem like a distant memory.
