The story of one British Immigrant
It is 1830 and you are a 28-year-old Shipwright living in Bootle, Britain, with a family of three. This job may sound fairly good, but unfortunately, you are lower class and have extremely poor working conditions. Many working men in Britain are going through the same thing you are. They are in dangerous work places and the conditions are awful. British workers push for political reform before taking a stronger approach but are denied their rights and inevitably, this turned into Britains "workers revolt." As class was a huge aspect of a person's daily life it was very apparent that the laws were in favor of the rich and powerful families, these families would use their money to gain political control and to bribe officials into swaying to their needs and wishes. This corruption upset thousands of people and contributed to the rage the people had against the government.
