Flowing water and the songs of the birds are the first things that register in your mind. Forcing your eyes open, you see you're in a meadow in the heart of a forest, a bubbling brook snaking its way through the middle. You slowly sit up, shaking your head and trying to discern where you are. Glancing around, the meadow is foreign to you. Nothing seemed even slightly familiar.

'Where am I?' you wonder, slowing pushing yourself to your feet. You're a little unsteady, and your head swims some, but you stay standing. 'Better yet, how'd I get here?'

At that, you try to remember the circumstances that had brought you there, but you come up empty handed. Your mind draws a complete blank. And it didn't stop there. Panic began edging into your mind when you realize you can't remember a lot of things. Like who you are, or anything else about yourself for that matter. You can't even drudge up a memory of what you look like!

You slowly walked over to the brook and kneel down by the water to look at your reflection. ( color ) eyes stare back at you, ( color ) tresses of hair falling to frame your face. Blinking, you sit back and wrack your brains any memory of your looks. Nothing.

Sighing, you stand back up and give your clothes a once over. You're wearing a ( dark color ) kimono. Its not very fancy, just very simple. Around your neck, a black dragon pendant with emerald eyes hangs from a silver necklace. You finger the pendant as you think, trying one last time to bring to mind any kind of memory.

Your self discovery is suddenly cut short when a thunderous roar cuts through the serenity of the forest, and startles the birds, causing many of them to explode in a wild flight upward. You jump, startled as well, and turn toward the sound. Crashing noises echoed through the now silent forest, getting closer and closer to the meadow you're in.

Frozen, you watch as a large reptilian monster stomps into the meadow, its head tossing and its long, razor-tipped tail thrashing. It looked like a dragon, but it was much too small. Then again, the thing was still much bigger than you.

At that moment, the monster spots you and suddenly freezes, its silted yellow eyes locked onto you. It suddenly throws its head back and roars again, wisps of flame licking its scaled lips.
