Reasons to not go into tHAT HOUSE

There were five reasons nobody went to that old place anymore. It all started ten years ago when Old Man Herold lived there. Herold was a strange man, he had no family nor went to see anyone. He would make his own cocktails and try to brew potions out of seemingly random household chemicals from the drug store down the road. Everyone in Kaukauna thought he was weird but did not think much of it. Once he died, it was a rather unexpected death considering he was visited by the physician the day before and seemed to be doing fine. Herold's will said that the house would go to the drug store owner but he then sold it to an investor. It sat unmaintained for around 7 years until finally a group of teens went and explored it. Those teens were me and my friends.

It was 9:30 pm on April 9th, 1913, me, Jake, and John went there going to steal the grandfather clock and resell it. As soon as we entered we could tell it hadn't been touched in years as there was dust all over and no one even bothered to take in Herold’s cat as you could see its remains on the floor of the kitchen. As we ventured upstairs tho things took a turn for the worst, we could hear a scratching noise that sounded reminiscent of a cat scratching a door. When we went further we found the noise source, a whole family of cats, so we just decided to steal the clock and leave this weird place. But as we were going down the stairs with the clock one of the stairs broke and the person in the front fell into some kind of a secret basement we followed him down and found something very disturbing. There was a room full of dead bodies as well as a large table with a giant book and a big knife.

As soon as we saw this we decided to bail out as fast as we could. But there were no stairs going up. John tried to climb up the stairs we fell through but they broke under his weight. We realized we were trapped in here. But we thought we could get out by making a human tower and climbing through the hole we fell through. The plan worked except for one thing, I fell and hit my head and passed out. When I woke up my friends had turned on me and tied me up in a chair
