Trapped

You wake up in a dark room on the cold stone floor. Your head is killing you. You survey your surroundings and find yourself on the floor of a lab. A patient's table stands in the middle with hoses and gadgets on the ceiling above. You dread to think what happens to whoever gets on that table. Your thoughts are cut short when you hear footsteps coming from somewhere, your not sure where because the echo in the room throws everything off. You notice a door in front of you, maybe its unlocked? Or would it be safer to just forfeit and except your fate until you find a new way out?
