Extend the Story - Add a Room

Foresight by donteatpoop
The next morning starts like any other. The alarm clock blares and you hit snooze a good five times before actually getting out of bed.

You shower for a long while, allowing the water to awaken you, and making sure that you wash thoroughly. You wash probably more thoroughly than anyone should, you just hate the idea of being stinky since you are already teased constantly about your size, glasses, and income. It's best not to add anything else onto that. Plus it gives you a chance to play with you balls, a newly discovered delight in your adolescent life.

You step out of the shower, dry off, get dressed, eat a bowl of cereal, and walk out the door with your book bag slung over a shoulder.

The walk to school is relatively uneventful, as are the first three classes. In gym class, however, things get sort of interesting.

It's dodge ball day in Phys Ed today, a sport you have never cared much for. Being the fat kid, you are always one of the last to be picked, and today is no different.

Being fat also makes you a prime target for the asshole bullies and jocks on the other team. The balls come flying at you the moment the teacher blows the whistle. Normally you dodge one or two of them before someone picks you off. Today is different, though.

It's strange, you think, as you see the paths of the balls before they are even thrown. It's a lot like the box cutter incident of the previous night that you somehow forgot about until just now.

You find the first volley of balls easy to avoid. When you bend to grab a ball off the ground, you sense another one coming in at you and slowly but effectively step out of the balls path (just as the ball is released, oddly enough.)

Your teammates drop one by one as you continue to avoid the incoming missiles. You are one of the last three members of your team when you throw a ball at the other side which is caught, thus eliminating you.

Still though, you are proud of how well you did. One of your teammates, Mike, even compliments you on how well you did. Mike was always one of the nice kids. He never went out of his way to be friendly, but he didn't pick on you either.

Gym class ends and you head to the cafeteria to get some much needed lunch. Dodging things worked up an appetite for you.

You are sitting at your table, cramming chicken nuggets into your mouth when you have one of those weird moments that you've been having lately. You 'see' Robert, one of the school bullies, sit next to you and shove your face in some mashed potatoes.

You think about it as you chew, and maybe you should trust this instinct and get up to go sit somewhere else... But it seems too strange to really believe. Not that Robert wouldn't do something like that, just the part where you can see it happening before it happens. Besides, who the heck is going to let you sit at their table. You're already the only one at your little lunch table.

Maybe you're going crazy.
Get up and leave.
