Extend the Story - Add a Room

"That's all right, Mary," you say.

Mary breaths a sigh of relief, then graces you with a dazzling smile. "Thanks. Mother Bertha would have been mad."

Bertha was the dorm mother, a large woman rumored to spank the girls in the dorms when the misbehaved.

You shrug. "No harm done."

"Thanks." She smiles again and hugs you impulsively, then steps back. "I was just going to go have breakfast, do you want to join me?"

"No thanks."
