"I thought you were dead, Coryn," you try to explain. "I did what I had to do to survive in this game. You would have done the same thing."

"I would have checked to see if you were alive," she responds curtly.

"The voice in the sky counted two deaths," you reason. "What did you want me to do, hang around and bury your body?"

"Wouldn't have been a body to bury." She snaps.

You sit there a while longer, trying to collect your thoughts and find a way to get through to her. After giving it some time, you take a breath and peer around the branch to the ground below, still not finding any sign of her presence.

"I'm sorry, Coryn. If I had known you were still alive, things would have been different. But I didn't, and now here we are."

A throwing star lands in teh tree just inches from your face. You duck back behind the cover of the branches. How is it that you can't see her?

"We can work this out, Coryn. We still have a better chance making it through this competition in once piece if we work together."

She laughs at you from below then spits on the ground. "You come on down when you're ready, Doc. I'll be waiting."

Doesn't sound like she's looking to patch things up.
