Extend the Story - Add a Room

Through the Halls of Christendom by Lazarus
You shudder involuntarily.

Awakened, it would seem, by your nervous system, you painfully open your eyes. You can only surmise that you are where you are because that punk that was hassling you in the alley outside the club had some kind of billy-jack and knocked you out.

...at least that's what the screaming pain coming from the back of your head is telling you. "Motherfucker!" you mutter, almost incoherently.

The darkness of wherever you are is pierced only by the beam of white light that shines down around you. You peer upwards momentarily into the light, which hits your retinas like white-hot irons, causing your eyelids to snap shut like stalwart beartraps. "That was stupid," you think to yourself.

You begin to crawl out of the circle of light made on the ground by the beam, as you are uncertain of your surroundings and still a little dizzy from the assumed blow to the head. As if on cue, torches all around the room burst into flames as you break through the light. The torches are in pairs, surrounding four wooden doors, set into stone archways all around the room.

The white light slowly fades into blackness, without revealing the slightest clue as to its origin overhead... leaving only the dim flickering of the oily torches all around you.

You see that the floor is made of stones of about the same relative size, strongly mortared into place (in case, no doubt, you'd arrived here with any more than the clothes on your back - and had any ideas of digging your way to sweet freedom). The stones continue outward in concentric circles that terminate at the circular wall that the doors are set into. The wall is made of stone and mortar as well, with a slight tilt inwards on all sides... arching toward an indeterminate point far, far overhead.

It is then that you notice beneath your feet that someone has carved a crude compass rose. As fate would have it, each door's location very closely matches one of the primary directions.

Suddenly, a sharp wind that seems (impossible though it may be) to be coming from the walls, rips through the room. An icy chill can be felt along the back of your neck and you instinctively reach to feel the back of your head. Your hand returns to your sight covered in your own blood! It would appear that you are bleeding, though not profusely; however, it would be prudent to tie a bandage of sorts around it as soon as possible.

You reach for your t-shirt only to find in horror that your clothing has been replaced with what appears to be a black leather jumpsuit. Not the most stylish thing, and also almost completely impossible to rip into swaths for a makeshift bandage. It seems whoever has put you here is trying to make sure you are forced to choose a door!

This may be an elaborate game, but you're already feeling woozy and realize that if you stay here, you'll go into shock and die.

What will you do?
