Hall of Infinite Doors
You scamper up the closest tree you can find. Up at its highest limb (that can hold your weight) you watch and wait for the Vrylokas to come and get you.
You feel a strange tingling sensation running down your spine and your hair stands on end.
You look behind you and find a terrible looking creature staring up at you from the other side of the tree. The beast looks very much like a wolf, except that it stands on its hind legs. Its face looks stretched, as if someone had taken a skull and simply draped a thin layer of skin over it. Its snout is prominant, and even with its mouth closed, a few sharp fangs poke their way out of its jaws. Its eyes are fire, and shine a bright yellow. Thin pupils, like a cat's, narrow and simply stare.
"What do you want?" you finally scream, but the creature says nothing.
Then you get an answer. "You." the sharp, rasping voice whispers in your ear. You barely have a chance to look before you die.
