It's 8:40 a.m. The front door is locked to prevent those tardy students from entering without being noticed. Attendance: 17 out of 32. Mrs. Gam begins her daily trek down the hallway, going directly to the Senior Room.

"Did any seniors come in the side door?", she queries.
