Extend the Story - Add a Room

"Is sorry all you know to say…we have to have more conversation than this I know you can spark up something interesting last volunteer sucked; all she did was stuff me with cookies. Look at my stomach!"

He pulled his sleeveless shirt up. Nadine closed her eyes thinking he had nothing else under…she heard his laughter and opened one eye then the other.

He had a six pack and muscles everywhere. Oh my god! Stop drooling Nadine… how can he have cancer? Such a gorgeous man

"I will try not to give you any goodies. Well…" she sighed, "I'll start with telling you what I we will be doing for the next couple of weeks."

"I would love to know what that would be…" He laughed and mumbled things to himself, as Nadine gave him a playful glare. He smiled "Now I'm sorry…go on."

"Well this week I will be here on the night shift checking up on you, then I will change to the day shift, I heard that you like to be on your feet so I found a beautiful park were we can walk around and have a picnic. Plus you like music there is a café down the street and…"

He sat up with a surprised look on his face "We as in you and I. Are going to do this? How is that going to be possible?"

"I'm in a program that volunteers us to be a companion for someone with the same interest, we get to spend up to 8 hours with that certain person until…"

He frowned, "Until we die and you move on to the next patient."

Nadine changes the subject...
