Summer Vacation
You go to the nearest phone and dial 911.
"Yes, I'm on Sycamore Lane, and I need some cops to come down here and break up a party that has gotten out of hand," you say.
You go and find Emily. You find her on the porch crying.
You put your arm around her. She resists at first but then allows you to comfort her.
The cops arrive and after explaining the situation to them, they clear everyone out of the yard.
"Emily, I'm really sorry about all of this," you say.
"Yeah I know," she says. "Its my fault. I don't know what I was thinking about throwing a party on my first day in our new house."
"Listen," you say, "I can stay around for as long as it takes to get this place cleaned up."
She grins at you weakly, "Ok. Let's do it."
The two of you spend the next three hours cleaning up the house. Eventually it looks good as new.
Emily gives you a brief kiss on the cheak, and you head home.
You see Emily a few more times during the summer. Suddenly you realize its August and school is going to start in two weeks.
You sigh, your summer certainly wasn't as adventurous as you thought it would be. But it could have been a whole lot worse!
