The House On The Corner by calia386
You look at the old woman staring at you and you realize that honesty would be the best, so you start to explain that the house seems empty and no one has ever seen anyone come in and out of the house and you were sent to investigate the people who may live here. She looks at you and chuckles a small laugh. Her breath smells foul, but you don't want to offend her, so you give a small smile yourself. Her next words chill your bones. "So, you want to know who lives here, the dead live here". You at first think she may be joking, but then you realize that she is being dead honest. Your heart starts beating as you perspire. What can you do now? You can just stand there speechless, or you can head for those stairs you see off to the left. Which will it be? You are in too much of a panic to decide.
