Extend the Story - Add a Room

You walk slowly down the street, keeping your head down, avoiding eye contact with anyone. Someone brushes past you, mumbles an apology, but you just ignore it. You keep getting jostled, and it's probably not all accidental.

You're not going to lose your temper, though. It wouldn't do any good. It's outside of school - they can do whatever they like. Not that it stops them from doing anything to you *in* school, either.

The smell of the pollution hits you in dizzying intensity. You cough, waving a hand in front of your face to disperse the fumes of the cars. Really, most of the time all you want to do is run. Run far away from here, and go to where nature is still in charge of the land.

But you are sure that there is no place like that... Not anymore. It only exists in your dreams.

You let out a heavy sigh, and shift your backpack slightly on your shoulder. The only thing important to you in there is your flute, which you *always* carry around with you. It's comforting.

If only there were more things like music in this world...

You pause suddenly, frowning a bit to yourself. What is *that*? You thought that you just saw a flash of light out of the corner of your eye. It's probably nothing, but...
