Extend the Story - Add a Room

You check the gun to see that it is fully loaded, all six chambers. That gives you six shots all together, you will have to make them count.

You tuck the gun into your belt and begin walking back to where you left your new ally when you realize that you were supposed to come back with edible plant life. Looking around, you find only a few edible roots and weeds to choose from. You scoop them up and return to the woman.

She is waiting for you and smiles when you return with the roots and weeds. "I think this is going to work out just fine," she says. "My name is Coryn, by the way."

She hold out her hand. You hand her a root instead of shaking and introduce yourself as Metzger.

The two of you walk along, chewing at the nutrient filled, but bitter roots when your instincts from a life in the jungle pay off. To the right of you, you hear something moving, keeping pace with you. You don't look, but study the patterns of movement to discern what you can.

It's not an animal.

Coryn apparently does not notice, and you hope that when she does, she doesn't give away your awareness of its presence. You would prefer to take your pursuer by surprise.
