A new fear grips you now, one quite apart from concerns of being devoured or blown up or anything like that. Its people you`re scared of, humans. For so long the only company you`ve had has been the deafening echo of your own thoughts, starved of the oxygen of other people your brain has gotten sick and curled up into itself. You began to hear stuff...
Maybe you`re ugly, when`s the last time you shaved yourself or changed your clothing? You probably look like those guys you crossed the street to avoid the guys who served dinner out of a dumpster and roomed there too. Maybe if you spoke through the door first, those vampire bastards lack the manners to knock so theyll know its you. "who goes there?" For one brief horrifying second your name is gone then it comes just as natural as you like, "Robert."
