Extend the Story - Add a Room

curse of the cat by melly
I approached the house quickly because I was so cold and I was getting more drenched by the second. I knocked on the door and an elderly woman with firey red dyed hair came to greet me. I asked to use the phone and possibly dry off a minute, and she welcomed me in with a kind smile. I called my roommate to tell her I was running late so she would not worry. As soon as I finished, the sweet old woman had a cup of hot cocoa ready for me and had laid my jacket by the roaring fireplace to dry off. "You must be chilled to the bone, dearie. This cocoa should warm you up a bit." she said to me with a sincere look of concern. "Thank you." I said.
Ask about the weather.
