"Rumor has it that Carmen and Violet broke up again, but Carter proposed to her in the cafeteria in front of the, like, entire grade. Can you imagine? That's like, so pathetic. Violet dumped her lunch tray all over him, and I think there was hot soup in there, so he got so burned. Oh, that's a double-entendre, I guess."

"That's not the right use of —"

"Anyway, I'm going to host a party tonight. I'm going to have, like, everyone over. At least all the cool kids. And the hot ones. You in?"

You roll your eyes, but respond.
"No, you know that's not my scene."
