Eldara VR
Still disoriented from his sudden change in size, he stood on the large cobblestone path. The size of an insect…
“Hey!” He shouted over to a nearby group of players who were standing in a triangle, all chatting with each other. “HEY PLEASE HELP ME!!”
It was no use, they didn’t even flinch. No one had any idea of Danny’s predicament.
Well…maybe one ‘person’ did…
“OH THERE YOU ARE SIR KNIGHT, I REQUIRE YOUR AID”
The childish voice boomed out around Danny, his face dropped, even more than it already had…
Turning around he saw in the blurry distance the gigantic figure of a boy walking towards him, waving a hand into the air.
The boy was wearing a green scruffy tunic which was ripped in places, his brown tights only extending to his shins, he had no shoes.
The boy’s bare feet slapped onto the cobble path as he crossed a bridge, walking straight to Danny’s position.
“Wait…WAIT” Danny tried to cry out, but the boy showed no signs of stopping.
He was a child NPC in Eldara, and would often run to the player to give them a quest. That's what he was doing right now, only what he’d been programmed to.
“SIR KNIGHT, PLEASE I REQUIRE YOU!”
*slap…Slap….SLAP* The boy was rapidly approaching the 1 inch tall Danny on the ground.
“KID PLEASE WAIT!!” Danny cried.
The NPC’s in Eldara were advanced enough to hold basic conversation with, maintaining eye contact. However, they hadn’t accounted for characters under the usual height…
Danny turned to run as the Tunic wearing boy was only a few steps away, but he tripped on a jagged piece of the Cobble path nearly instantly.
The younger rough looking boy loomed over him, his barefoot rising over Danny in the middle of his stride, it was calloused around the edges due to the stone, but the skin was still smooth and soft in the center.
Despite this being a game, the character graphics were incredibly realistic.
“No, NO, PLEAA-”
*SLAP* *Crunch*
The NPC boy continued walking forward, unable to track the location of the player he was tasked with by the game code to hand the quest to.
“Please Sir Knight, we have a bug infestation, and need someone to aid us!”
The small red spot that was once Danny now on display on the sole of the quest giving boy.
‘Knight Danny has logged out’
