Extend the Story - Add a Room

“Because you seem out of it. Because I care about my subjects. Because, because, because, yadda yadda yah.” The Author stands, and for the first time – GASP! – they look tired. “Look, I can’t keep running this show forever, you know? I’m busy. Being as godlike as me is tiring. That’s why I gave you the power! So you can take some of my load off of me! And, you know, have fun too.” They start pacing around the room. “And I thought you were! Having fun, that is. But now you seem so…” They vaguely gesture in the air with their hands, like flopping fish. “…useless.”
