A short door riddle

You go into the purple room, you can't see anything infront of you, you walk in. *SLAM* the door shuts behind you, then the area is lit up and you can see your on a metal platform with a window far above your view. You faintly see a waving hand and then ultimatly fall into a bed of spikes.
