Everything Went Dark
You were wrong.
As Elliana opened the flap of the tent to check outside to see if Addie was out there or not, Evie and Emma crept up behind her with the hunting knife Emma was gifted. They knew that Elliana would realize who the cannibals were as soon as she saw that Addie was gone.
"Hello, Elliana." The two said in unison.
It was at that moment when Elliana knew she was dead. She slowly turned back around, letting the tent go. The flap closed.
A little later, Emma gave the pioneers a gift: more meat from an...animal she had found in the woods. You may be wondering why Emma and Evie were so willing to murder and consume their friends and that was because they thought this was all fake and their friends would be alive once they returned to REV. As soon as she handed over what was once Elliana, Emma felt really weird. She went back to the tent and opened a flap. She was greeted with a flurry of bright colors. The portal back to the present! It was open. Assuming Evie had already gone through, Emma walked into the portal. After a minute or so of more bright, flashy colors, Emma was back at REV. She was in her own clothes.
Emma looked around, Evie was kneeling on the floor. She looked really upset. Emma went over to her and was about to ask what was wrong when she realized what the problem was. There were six piles of clothing along with items their friends may have had on them at the time. There was no sign of their friends anywhere. They had killed their friends. And ate them.
What had they done? Emma and Evie stayed there in silence for what felt like hours. And maybe it was, the sun began to set. Neither of the two had moved. The moon never rose, so as the hours went by, everything went dark.
