Everything Went Dark
That wouldn't be smart. She would give away their entire plan by waving. Addie looked away. She looked back up at Jordan. Something was off. Jordan wasn't chained to anything. The guards weren't holding her in place. She was just standing there. The guard who was holding her in place was one of the New Roman spies. They leaned closer to Addie and whispered,"We'll do what the note says. We'll just save Jordan, her later instructions will save you."

This was the first time Addie was hearing about this. And the guard could tell too. "Oh no." They whispered,"Jordan betrayed us, didn't she?" Addie didn't respond. She could only stare at Jordan in dismay. Jordan noticed the look on her face and looked away. Jordan could tell Addie knew. Addie climbed up onto the podium and asked one of the guards if she could speak to the crowd of people. They let her.
Addie turned to the crowd, which she knew had several New Romans, and spoke about how Jordan was a traitor to the New Romans and she hoped that Jordan stayed alive just so she could sit and feel guilty about what she did. This obviously enraged all the New Romans. And some had explosives. It's a well-known fact that you can't anger people who have an explosive in their hands. The New Roman guard pushed Addie and Jack off the stage. They were unable to reach the other two in time. Someone in the crowd had thrown one of their explosives at the podium. That explosive killed all five guards on the podium, Jordan, and Jennan. Jack and Addie were alive.
It was chaos. Other guards had started firing their guns. The explosive-holding New Romans threw their explosives everywhere as a distraction. The surviving New Romans motioned Jack and Addie over to where they were escaping. And escape they did. This attack began the revolution.
But not everything has a happy ending. Evie had woken from her coma. Now that there was Four Horsemen, they were much more powerful. Jack was captured and finally given the execution he was supposed to have. His head is now up for public display in the Blood-Lust's castle's front entry. Addie was in the last group of New Romans that were captured. They were thrown into the Neutral Grounds, a surprisingly peaceful town where Addie actually ran into Jack, Jordan, and Jennan. Which was funny, considering she had thought they died. But hey! People can escape. Right? Anyways, while they were away, Apocalypse thrived, even though the citizens were blissfully unaware of the dictatorship they were under.
Life continued on. And everyone believed they got their own happy endings.
