Everything Went Dark
Might as well, right? The door looked flimsy enough. Besides, Evie and Jordan couldn't see any alien creatures nearby. Now, the door may have looked flimsy, but it wasn't flimsy enough for them to just lift up. So they needed to find something...oh! Well, won't you look at that? There was a crowbar lying nearby! Evie walked over and carefully picked up the conveniently placed crowbar. Such a nice coincidence that a tool they needed just happened to be there! Jordan moved out of Evie's way so she could attempt to pry the door open. Evie decided to quickly get this over with, so she jammed the crowbar beneath the door.
Thankfully, very little noise was made. Evie glanced at Jordan, who was looking around to see if they needed to run. Jordan looked back and shrugged. Evie took that as a 'they were safe' sign and shook the crowbar slightly, trying to see how she should pry the door open. Evie has never used a crowbar to pry a door open before. She wasn't sure if she was doing it right. But turns out she didn't need to worry about it, because the survivors who were hiding inside had noticed the crowbar that was under the door. Someone from the inside opened it with barely enough room for them to squeeze under.
There was a small group of about twenty people inside. One of them silently led the two away from the door as it was closed. 'Were you followed?" They whispered. The walls were thick enough for people to whisper and be fine. Evie and Jordan shook their heads. After that, the two were taken to an area where all of the mattresses in the store were laid out. Evie and Jordan were told to sit on one of the mattresses and were looked over to see if they needed medical attention. They were given food and water. They also had their choice of clothing as well. It was nice. People did talk, just in a hushed whisper. Costco's walls were extremely thick.
And that's how Evie and Jordan joined the few remaining survivors. However, two isn't the greatest number. Is it possible to get all of the eight friends to Costco alive? No. Though, it's funny you would think that. Anyways, you're probably wondering is anything happened to them afterwards. They lived out the rest of their days alien-hunting and living in Costco. Nothing too crazy. And neither of them died from the aliens! So I'd consider that a good ending.
