Everything Went Dark

Evie isn't a coward. She pressed onwards. And as she kept on walking forwards, the light she had from the open entrance dimmed. It was difficult to see things now. She kept on walking. The walls were once stone. Now, they were turning into more of a hardened dirt wall. The size of the path didn't seem to be getting bigger or smaller, which made Evie a little less worried. Or should it make her worry more?! Who knows? But what did make her worry was that there wasn't anymore light. Evie was tempted to turn back, but it was much too late now. She started to walk a little slower.

A light tick, tick, tick, echoed through the passage. Weird. As she continued to walk, the ticking got louder and...faster? Was there a broken clock near the end of the path? Evie kept on walking ahead. She had a feeling in her gut that she should turn and leave. But she didn't. Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. Hmm. But what was that up ahead? Evie squinted to get a better look. It was a singular torch. Okay. Minecraft much? Anyways, Evie got closer and noticed that there wasn't just a torch. Tickticktickticktick. Oh no.

B O O M !
