Extend the Story - Add a Room

You are dumb. You are unable to speak and you have the inability to utter even the most basic sentences of the English language. You have to communicate through sign language to relay messages to other people. From the time you were a baby, you remember people speaking English to you in hushed, babied fits, but never being able to appropriately respond to them. As you grew up, your folks realized that you were an anomaly; dumber than dumb, so dumb that you couldn't even utter a syllable of the alphabet without additional assistance from a tutor.

With this information in mind, you are enrolled into a special program for the dumb, segregated from stupid people in Newville Town. You are the highest scoring student in the special program for the dumb, registered as a 99th percentile performing student. When it's time for you to graduate as a senior from Dumb Secondary School for the Dumb & Dumber, you are met with a decision to either enroll in Dumb College or take Dumb Trade School for the inarticulate and semantically challenged.

You are impressed by your scores.

Without missing a single question on the test, you placed higher than your friend Bob Dumbdendirk, who was so astoundingly versed in understanding the English language on paper without being able to speak it that others in your class hailed him a genius. You, on the other hand, though recognized as a genius to some marvelous extent, were not as gifted at all. You gripped your pencil weird and you had to ask the teacher for help constantly. Your verbal understanding of English amounted to nothing while all your other classmates possessed some retention of how to say words like "app" and "rap", "gap", "lap", and all other types of funny, simple three-worders while you were completely clueless.

Now it is on to the entrance of college or trade school. Depending on which one you choose, you will have to take an exam. Dumb College is significantly more difficult with the admission of an entrance exam and an entrance admission essay requiring information about your background such as what extracurriculars you've taken in your past, your hopes, ambitions, and your work history, if any, all desired to be compounded in one bundle of documents affixed to a classified folder for the rest of your prospective tenure there. You would also be sending past information such as your Dumb Secondary School transcripts and statements from your past proctors.

Dumb Trade School requires you to show obedience. You heard that you will be taught how to work trade jobs there. Jobs of the trade such as radiation therapy, web development, and wind turbine technician were all jobs you heard offered and taught at the Dumb Trade School as part of a long, winding selection of subcategories of curricular expertise. You weren't sure how you would fit into trade, but it consisted of three sections: (1) reading comprehension and understanding of the English language, (2) math and quantitative reasoning, and (3) mechanical comprehension. People who pass the test, as you've heard and will continue to hear in anticipation of your paved future, are eligible to enter trade entrance training programs and thereby enter Dumb Trade School.
