Everything Went Dark

As any normal person would, Evie panicked and moved out of the beam. Jack didn't try to stop her. As soon as the beam wasn't holding onto her any longer, she fell. Evie instantly regretted it. She screeched as she fell. Her screeches were cut short as her back hit the arch of the front of the school. Her bones shattered and she couldn't breath due to the blood that had clogged her lungs. Did Jack do anything? No, he didn't even watch Evie plummet down. Did she suffer? Yes. Did she die quickly? Kinda, yea. But it didn't feel like it. The pain made it seem like she was dying for hours. Whatever controlled the world decided to grant her mercy. Everything went dark.
