Everything Went Dark

Nah. Jack didn't want to get involved. This was too stressful. Even if he did go with Evie, it would probably end in his death. He winced in pain as he lowered himself to the floor. He ignored the blood pooling beneath him. "Farewell, Evie. It's been a pleasure." Jack said overdramatically. He was trying to distract himself from the pain of literally stabbing himself. Evie stared at him blankly. She looked confused. After a few minutes of increasingly awkward silence, Evie finally shrugged and said,"Alright. Tell Jennan that Tatum and I will see you in a bit." He nodded. Evie left, not bothering to look back. Then what Evie said processed. Evie and Tatum will see them soon? What did she mean by that? He decided to stop worrying about it. Why spend your dying moments worrying about something? That'll just make the dying process worse. He closed his eyes,"I'll pass Evie's message along to Jennan when I die." He reminded himself.

And you know what? He did...or at least, that's what he hoped he would do. It was the thing he was repeating to himself over and over again as an attempt to ignore the pain. And finally, he got really, really tired. Everything went dark.
