Ghost Pirates of the Sea-erra Madre
Sadly, you put the map down and turn to look around the room to see if you can find anything else.
You find some gold coins and some jewelry, which you put on the table next to the map. You should be excited that you found some treasure, but you're just kind of sad.
Suddenly you hear a scream and the sound of a door slamming behind you.
"Hah, sucker!" Paige yells. "This map was real all along! I'm going to sink this boat and go get the treasure myself!"
You turn around and see that the map, gold coins, and jewelry are all missing. Also, Jaxon is lying on the floor, unconscious, but that's clearly less important than your treasure and map being stolen!
You heard a loud explosion and suddenly the boat tilts to one side and begins to sink. The cabin begins to fill with water and you are overwhelmingly upset that you hired Paige in the first place. The last thing you think before the water reaches your head is that her résumé and references had seemed so positive at the time, but maybe you should have wondered why a former astronaut, race car driver, and lion tamer had wanted to work on your ship in the first place.
