Ghost Pirates of the Sea-erra Madre
You decide to use the bathysphere to attempt to return to the surface. There's only enough space for one of you, and after much deliberation you are the one chosen to pilot it.
You wave goodbye to Jenny Mudge and Louisa, promising that you'll return soon.
Inside the bathysphere is dark and cramped. The controls seem strange, but are simple enough to use. You descend and exit out of the door you had entered through in Jenny Mudge and Louisa's submarine, and that's when things begin to go wrong. The controls lock up and you begin to sink down to the ocean floor.
You spend several minutes trying to activate the controls as the bathysphere sinks lower and lower into a crevice. You give up and attempt to open the hatch and escape, but find that you've waited too long. As you've descended the pressure outside has grown higher and higher and you are not strong enough to force the hatch open. There's nothing you can do but wait as you sink lower and lower into the ocean and watch as cracks begin to form on the walls and windows of the bathysphere.
