The Unnaturals Prequel - Cataclysm
You are too stunned to move. The truck rolls past, out of view but you can still hear it and the driver screaming out in warning.
Within moments, you can no longer hear them as a new, terrifying, overpowering sound replaces it. The sound of wind howling so strongly that it rattles the panes of glass and threatens to burst your ear drums. A shadow falls over the street just outside. You can only stare in horror as an orange light flickers and blooms, larger and larger until the shadow is illuminated so brightly that it hurts to look.
You finally try to move away, but you find that your rubber soled shoes have become stuck to the tiles of the office floor. The whole building begins to shake.
Suddenly, with a horrible wrenching sound, you know that the building is collapsing. In one brief moment before the ceiling caves in and plunges you into darkness forever, you wonder what exactly was happening outside, and if you could have out ran it.
