Extend the Story - Add a Room

Errant by AnonAnon
Right, it's no wonder they woke you up so early. You and a handful of others are in charge of feeding the crew for the day. In your specific case that means peeling lots of vegetables and cleaning a lot of dishes.

You say your goodbyes to Leo, who is working with the weaponry today, and head down to the kitchen. Once you arrive, there are already people busy at work. You can smell the beginnings of a soup stock heating up. There's an old woman in the back ordering around several hands about. when she sees your arrival, she points a ladle and sets you straight to work.

It's a long day. As soon as you finish a meal the sailors come through like a plague of locusts leaving haphazardly stacked dishes in their wake. Once you've cleaned up the next round needs making and the cycle just keeps continuing. You get breaks to eat, but the day goes by in a tiring flash. By the tie you leave the kitchen the sky has already darkened and been dotted by stars. You sigh, this isn't shaping up to be what you had in mind for an open ocean adventure.

You take a breather and stretch out your arms. Tired from your day of menial tasks you wonder what you should even do with the remainder of your night. The air is nice and fresh, but you know that Leo and the others will most likely be repeating the debauchery from last night. That could be fun, but you could also get a head start on tomorrow and turn in for the night.
