"What are you measuring?" You ask, pointing at the device in her hands.

"Oh, I'm checking out position to determine how much longer it will be, approximately, before we reach our destination." She holds up the device. "The first mate has been navigating alongside my companion and I, but I prefer to do as much of the leg work as I can."

"Ah." You shift out of the way allowing the woman to take up position. She lines up the dials on the construct in her hands before looking through a small lens. Every few moments she makes adjustments and takes little notes in a book she had in her skirt pocket. After a few moment, she notices you watching her and blushes slightly.

"What you've never seen a woman and her sextant before?" She looks you up and down and sees your armor. "Oh, of course you're not a sailor. You're one of the guards then?"

You tell her that's right and even make a little show of brandishing your sword. She claps playfully, "My, my it seems Castrel and I are in good hands then." That must be her companion, you decide. "I hope you'll be just as ready to impress if it comes to it, sir..?"

"Faust." You introduce yourself and replace your blade in its sheath.

"Sir Faust," She puts down her sextant and grabs her skirt to give a gentle curtsy. "You may call me Aeris, I'll be in your care." From fa away you couldn't see many of Aeris' feature, but up close you can see how pretty she is. Bright green eyes, soft pink lips. And while her hair looks nice up, you imagine she'd be a stone cold killer with those waves of gold cascading down her ivory shoulders.

"Well, it seems I've collected all the data I'll need for tonight," she starts packing up her belongings. "Goodnight Sir Faust, I hope I'll being seeing more of you." You watch her return towards the Captain's quarters, a playful swing to her hips as she goes. You're almost spellbound watching her. When shes gone you turn back to the bow and see a small book perched on the railing. The very same Aeris was writing in.

You could probably bring it back to her now, but maybe you want to read some of it first.
