Extend the Story - Add a Room

You may as well start this journey in style. After you reach the Iceberg Crossing you'll be roughing it the wild for who-knows how long; you may as well enjoy the finer things in life when you can. The ship you've chartered is known as the Maiden's Sigh and it's as flashy and opulent as you can afford. More so even. You've spent nearly all of your saving securing passage on this vessel, nut seeing it here and now, you know you've made the right decision.

There are intricate details carved in nearly every panel of wood used in its construction. Aboard the deck you can see the details even clearer as they are painted and gilded in glittering golds. The crisp white sails tumble down as the last of your things are brought aboard the ship by the crew. As the journey begins to make way you're led down one level and to your room.Judging by the size of the ship, you estimate it may have three to four levels. You've been on boats before and you know how cramped they can become so you are pleasantly surprised to find that the first lower level is almost entirely dedicated to your suite. The only other occupant of the floor is the significantly smaller room that is the kitchen off near the end of the boat. Other than that, the space is all yours.

You spend your week luxuriating in your lovely room. in fact you find you hardly leave it at all during the expedition. The bed is softer than any you've ever owned and the amenities almost seem impossible to be available so far from land. It very quickly proves without a shadow of a doubt it was worth every cent spent.

All too soon the air begins to grow colder, the sky darker. Before long the reality of the end of your cruise begins to dawn on you. Once the anchor gives way, you'll be on a dingy and off to the frozen wasteland before you.
