You attempt to stop and whip around at the same time, but end up falling backwards, hard. Your breath is knocked out of you. Before you can get up, the spider leaps onto you. You can see your terrified reflection in all eight of its eyes.
Suddenly, a monitor on a broom swoops down, grabs your arm, and drags you up, the spider missing you by inches. It screams and swipes at you as you're hauled into the sky, but it's too late. You're too far away for it to do anything to you.
And that means you've been taken far away from the maze and the race, which you've now lost. YOU LOSE!
