You decide to shoot another spell at the spider before going forward. You begin to focus on casting Levicorpus again.
But changing your focus means you've lost focus on the first Levicorpus spell. The spider drops to the ground, spitting angrily.
You aim your next spell at the spider as it runs towards you and hit it again. This time, though, the spider is close enough that you're within range of it as it hangs in the air. The spider grabs you and pulls you towards it, an extreme hunger in its eyes.
Thankfully, a monitor on a broom swoops down, shoots a stunning spell at the spider, and grabs you. You're lifted out of the clutches of the spider and into the sky. You can't believe you made it out of there alive. You also can't believe you lost the race.
