All of the most important people are in the room, but you notice that Count Alfred von Waldersee is missing. You wonder where he is. Is he escorting this very important man into the meeting? Count von Waldersee enters, but nobody follows him. He speaks.
"Gentlemen, I have very important news. The Boxer Rebellion is over. We have defeated them in a big victory. It is so that some of the Chinese scholars have come to the conclusion that I hold the Mandate of Heaven to rule China. I am now Emperor Alfred von Waldersee, Emperor of China."
Everybody stands in silence. Admiral Edward Seymour, Emperor von Waldersee's second in command bows. After him, the whole room bows.
China is no longer in war. They have stable leadership in Emperor von Waldersee. You and your family are retained in Nanking. Emperor von Waldersee decides to appoint you to the court.
