As you enter the mitochondria you are swiftly hit with something and you hear a big "pop". You've just been cleaved in half by one of those previous water molecules! Seems like they aren't done with you. And again, and again, and again, they end up cleaving you so many times you are nothing more than a puny pyruvate, and you are used again and again in the Mitochondria until the end of time.
