Killing Gandhi

You see him walking across the garden, and you try to kill him. You try to pull the trigger, but you just don't move. You keep trying, and as if time is standing still, he barely moves. You understand that you can't kill him, but you need to make a statement still. You realize that you still need to shoot him, just not fatally. You aim at his leg and you take the shot. He immediately falls to the floor, but you can see from his face that he is still alive. A huge wave of relief washes over you, he isn't dead. You are taken in by the police, and sent to jail. You succeeded, Gandhi is alive and lived for many more years, and you kept India separate. You won.
