The Church
You approach the cat and say goodbye.
You then realize the cat is deaf.
You then realize the cat doesn't speak English.
You then realize you are saying goodbye to a cat that always hides when you are at The Church, and you almost never see.
Still, you bid farewell, and give hope that it doesn't have to contend with a yappy, over-energetic dog that eats contact lens cases, someday.
As if that will ever happen, lol.
