The Mansion
"I'm going to wait out here, duh."
Rachael struts quickly back to the car and opens the door.
"Raaaaaachaaaaaeeeel!" whines Gavin.
"You can't make me change my mind, Gavin. I'm waiting out here for the rain to get itself over with. I'm not going to go into that place. Ever. And that's your problem, because you're going to have to go in there alone."
"Why don't you want to go in there?"
Rachael thinks about that for a second. Why didn't she? What was making her resist? "I-I don't know, really," she mutters. "I have this feeling that something bad's going to happen if I go there."
"Like a bad vibe or something?"
"Yeah, exactly."
"Come on! You don't believe in that stuff, do you?"
"Actually, yeah, I do, so if you could just go in there and get your phone call over with, that would be just great!"
Gavin thinks it over for a bit. "I can't leave you out here alone. You win, Rachael," Gavin mutters. "Let's wait for it to rain and then get back to that farm, okay? But before that, let's put the engine back into the car, okay?"
They wait for it to start and stop raining, about 3 hours or so, listening to the radio. They head out and walk for a good 4 hours before they reach the farm and ask for help.
