Chalk Girl
You walk up to ellerie’s house nervous yet anxious. You wait for what seems like forever but soon realize no one is home. “No” you scream “OPEN THE DOOR” your now crying, tears flowing down your cheeks just wanting to know the truth. You try kicking down the door but it won’t budge. you try again not wanting to give up but your ankle feels horrible. The cast your mother wrapped around it does no justice. So instead you go to Claudia’s house. You slowly walk up the stairs to Claudia’s house debating what to say. Do you explain what happened? You sigh as you reach the top. You knock loudly on the door. No answer. You knock again, still no answer. You open the door, surprised for it to be unlocked and slowly walk in. You yell Claudia’s name and hear a loud, scared screech in response. You run up the stairs, two at a time, sure that you can help her. You try the door to Claudia’s room, locked. You muster up all of your strength and nock down the door. You see Ellerie standing next to Claudia. Claudia is all tied up and is on the floor crying. Ellerie whirls around to face you and next thing you know, you are right in front of her. You used to be scared, but now you are a different person, sure of your choices. You stare at Ellerie, straight into her hazel eyes. She stares back into your crystal blue eyes and the only sound is the quiet sobbing from Claudia and the loud breathing from Ellerie. “Why?” You ask her, sounding harsh. She starts to loose confidence and looks at the ground, tears forming in her eyes. She answers, her voice quivering “I was jealous.” She explains “Please Dahlia, I miss you, I will never do anything to you everyone again and-“ you shake your head, no and go over to untie Claudia. “I can never forgive you for what you did to me Ellerie. I wasted three years of my life trying to escape from the world that you pushed me into. I’m done.” You lead Claudia down the stairs and walk her to her house. “Thanks for saving me Dolly.” She exclaims, looking at the floor. “I’m also sorry I was so annoying to you.” You grab her hands, tears running, you give her a hug and go home at last.
