Extend the Story - Add a Room

Sleeping in the car has always been natural to me. The quiet movement of the car is reminiscent of... I don't know. When I woke up we hadn't stopped yet, but it was dark. "Uncle Ren", I said. He gestured with his head, turning slightly to the right. Dad. He was still sleeping, almost snoring but definitely asleep. I mouthed "Oh." Though it was still definitely night, the sun was starting up, the edge of the sky a dark orange, a foretaste of day. The radio gurgled "#$#he *#@ call #$#." We were on a road that felt familiar but I couldn't put my finger on why. "Uncle Ren?", I whispered this time. He turned the rear view mirror towards me, and made eye contact.
