Life's Choices
You pick up a notepad you remember using an hour. You write the word "tails" on the notepad. Then you go back through the mysterious door, and back through the easy door. Once in the creepy hallway, you walk down the hall, turn into the short hall, then back to the other easy door, and then past the second mysterious door in the wall to your apartment.
Your apartment looks the same as you left it. The notepad sits in the same spot you left it. It felt like you never left, so you also expect to see the word “tails” on the notepad.
Instead you see the words in your handwriting, “wrong choice”.
Startled, you go back the way you came from until you are safely back in your apartment with the notepad that says “false”.
When you turn around, the mysterious door is gone.
You are back in your original living room, so you can relax, but the thought that you could be somewhere else haunts you every single day. You can have a better ending than that.
