Life's Choices
"Congratulations," he replies and disappears in a puff of smoke.
You continue heading across the rope bridge. On the other side, you find a small village of like-minded people. They are not intrusive and treat you how you want to be treated. They offer you a place to stay for the rest of your days. You go to bed feeling happy.
Then you wake up.
"Happy birthday!" Steph exclaims, and you find yourself where you were standing when you had found the cache.
"How am I here?" you wonder.
"It must've been from what you had taken," Steph tells you.
"But I didn't take any of them," you reply, "...or did I?"
You are feeling too confused from all the paths.
"And how is this the good ending?" you ask.
"It is the good ending," Steph replies, throwing up her arms, "because I got to say Happy Birthday!"
