Stepping away, you go to dispose of the mysterious pill. The cat seems to be aware that you have saved it from an undesirable fate. It comes over and rubs against your leg, leaving behind a coat of fur.

Eventually you and the cat become best friends. You spend the rest of your days wondering what would've happened if you had chosen a different path.
