Hunt or Be Hunted by Xoeon
You slowly push yourself off the floor, blood dripping on the ground below.

Your ribs and forehead are ache, while your vision remains cloudy.

You slowly walk out the lodge and close the door behind you. You take your first steps out into a vast forest. The wilderness is full of giant trees, and the sound of bugs and wildlife almost sooth you.

a bright, partially full moon illuminates the ground below you. You make your way to the well several yards north of the lodge.

You grab a hold of a rope and eventually pull up a bucket of fresh water. Lifting the bucket high you douse your head. Bloody water washes over your jacket. You touch your wound and wince from the pain. The cut is deep and will surely create a scar.

Just then a rustling is heard from east of you.

You turn your head in response immediately, your ears and eyes focused on the location of the sound.

You are met with big light green eyes. You tense momentarily.

"Valin?" a light voice questions.

You sigh in relief, slowly lowering the bucket back into the well.

"You startled me..." you reply.

A long blond haired woman with light emerald eyes squints at you.

You know her as Aria, a fellow Bounty Hunter trainee. She is 18 years old with pale light skin. She is gorgeous, with almond eyes, small noise, and plump lips. Her thin frame is by no means intimidating. You often wonder how anyone could take her training to be a Bounty Hunter seriously.

Behind her she drags a netted dead dire wolf in which is almost twice her size.

"Oh yah.. that's why.." you mumble out loud.

"That's why what? she begins to say before her eyes open wide.

"Valin! Your head! what happened to you?! Are you okay?!" She releases her grip of the net, and rushes to you.
"Father whopped my ass..."
